This is the result of a really neat technique to make digital prints look like an impressionist painting (Monet style). The tutorial can be found here:[link] and the stock photo I used can be found here:[link]

At the end of the tutorial, it asks you to change the color values in Image>Adjustments>Selective Color. I completely skipped that step and instead just adjusted the brightness, contrast, and saturation until I was pleased with the result. Also, in the step involving Chalk and Charcoal filter, be sure not to make the image too fuzzy. Too much loss of detail here will have a detrimental effect later on.
